PLANNING DOCUMENTS NEEDED
PRODUCTION DIARY
Started my mind map, thinking about ideas of the icons of usic so that I cold mash them tgether started my analysis on my mind map: looked a film four which is neony and has outside settings. Viva was a bit cheesy Ideas has taken me ages, its hard to show the logo, I think I will produced a film style as it easier for my skills. I will edit the logo in in post production My sketches were rubbish so I started to use found images on the interest and change them myself. brand identity looks good to me, it shows popular culture, reflects the channel and music content and is up to date in the ideas. My ideas are:
TIME TRAVEL
1. The setting is a young adult/teen passing through on the way to meet his friends, picks up a music type player. And begins to turn the dial on the music player and starts to visualize the music as well as listening to the music. Each turn of the dial sets the room as a era of music, brief glimpses each time of different decades of music 60’s 70’s 80’ 90’s while he’s walking and after it he presses a ‘RESET’ button and reverts back to the present when meeting his friends. *songs for each decade:
60’s - The Beatles - Drive my Car
70’s - David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust 80’s - Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody 90’s - Nirvana - Smells like teen Spirit Present - Macklemore - Thrift Shop “Vortex” 2. The ident is shorter but similar, when he picks the player and puts the headphones, images in his head start to come in, this sting shows quick clips of different styles and genres from different decades. A brief burst though time. Expressed through vibrant colours and that can identify the era. “Changing through the past, Changes the Present” 3. Setting in a elevator, and young adult stands in a elevator, then another person walks in, and briefly acknowledges him then just stands next to him. Then a close up of the of the music player in the young adults hand. After Clicking a button shows a change in appearance the person next to him. With styles significant to a certain decade. Whilst the one with music player is not even taking notice of what is happening. After changing through different style he reverts back to himself and the young was oblivious of what was going he leaves while the is left shaken. "Musical State of Mind" 4. A student is asleep, whilst in his dream-like state, he starts see the classroom and the students dancing and wearing specific clothing to certain styles of music. Unaware that he is asleep whilst wearing his headphones, he wakes up to the sound of his teacher and reverts back to a conscious state to a current song on his computer then the screen reveals the logo of ITV Tunes. I think that I will end up doing the changes one as I have the right cast and crew and costumes, and I think this one gets the brief better
MIND MAP:
Include images/words that show what this
age bracket like/buy/how they spend time
Include brief analysis about the design of
idents on other music channels
Include the target audience of channels
like 4music and viva
include research about itv brand identity
and target audience
include words/colours/locations/styles/
that you might include in your ident
include ideas for design (filmed like TCM,
purely after effects like WATCH, both like BBC One)
SKETCHES/DESIGNS/COLLAGES
Design an ident that would be shown before
the UKTOP 40 or other countdown
Design an ident that would be shown before
reality tv programmes
Design an ident that would run before a
music documentary
STORYBOARD
Make a storyboard for each of the three
idents, put information about audio and camera shots underneath
